Director's Message

Dear Members, Partners and Friends,

Having been away at Harvard and Hebrew University for a year on sabbatical, it is truly wonderful to be back home in Tokyo. I can hardly wait to share my experiences with you at upcoming Marketing Forum events. Since the Forum has been in hiatus for the year of my absence, it has given us a chance to rethink some of our practices and to provide even better value to both our loyal friends and members who have waited patiently for us to reboot, and to newcomers whom we will be getting to know in the coming year. This being a year of recession (yes? no? maybe?) the biggest change is that we have initiated an accessible pricing¯ policy for WMF membership. Those of you who have been members of the Forum in previous years will notice the change immediately and, we hope, will encourage friends and colleagues to take advantage of the great value a 2008-09 academic year membership in the Waseda Marketing Forum represents. Our first event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008 at 17:00 at Ibuka International Conference Center (3rd Floor) on the Waseda campus. Click on "Map" on the menu to find your way if you have not attended our events before.

We are excited about reactivating our win/win relationship with the local business community and look forward to welcoming you to campus in the coming months.
