This falls in the "sad but true" department. What will we do when our physical retail environment (toy stores, department stores, book stores, music shops, etc.) all disappear because of online competition?
Dear Members, Partners and Friends,
This is my final semester at Waseda Business School because mandatory retirement is 70. The past 15 years seem to have just flown by. So many worthwhile programs, so many interesting speakers, so many generous sponsors have made the Marketing Forum the go-to event in Tokyo during this exciting period and I want to thank all of them for their steadfast support and participation. We still have one term left to go under the Waseda University umbrella and our first event of the fall term continues our proud tradition when on October 22, 2015 the current President of Adobe Japan, Mr. Eugene Saburi, will be our featured speaker.
As I write this, I am about to lead Waseda Marketing Forum International Conferences’ START UP NATION STUDY TOUR of Israeli innovation for the fourth year in a row (August 10 – 17, 2015). This year will be the last time I conduct the Study Tour as a Waseda professor, but I anticipate continuing with our stimulating programs in other ways once my retirement status kicks in.
